According to me, wooden boards are more durable. They are less prone to bacteria and contamination.

On a genuine note, yes, they’re quite easy to handle. One can use them and wash them easily. You have to soak them in the dishwasher, and after 10 to 15 minutes they’re again up for your use.
But, there’s a break!
Indeed, plastic boards are easy to afford, but they’re also home to bacterias.
According to the University of Michigan, one should never go for plastic cutting surfaces. Every time you use one, the knife leaves tiny cuts on it. And, these small cuts become home to infectious agents.
But, still, it is the first choice of many people. In that case, you must sanitize it properly after every use.
